The Three Cities
Capital · International · Prestige
Rome
Opening Stage of Your Italian Concerts
Establishes your presence in Europe's most internationally recognised cultural capital — a city synonymous with artistic authority and historical prestige.
Proposed Venue
Auditorium Parco della Musica — Sala Sinopoli
Seating just over 1,000, the Sala Sinopoli offers an intimate yet prestigious concert environment within Rome's leading contemporary music complex, home of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
History · Culture · Heritage
Florence
Second Stage of Your Italian Concerts
A distinctive artistic context within Italy's deepest cultural identity — Florence offers an intimate, historically resonant environment unlike any other.
Proposed Venue
Teatro Niccolini
An intimate, distinguished environment for a professional concert of genuine artistic character and heritage. One of the oldest theatres in Italy and the oldest in Florence, founded in 1650.
International · Contemporary · Professional
Milan
Completing Your Three-City Italian Series
Italy's contemporary international cultural environment — Milan positions your concerts within the country's most forward-facing professional music scene.
Proposed Venue
Teatro Dal Verme
A venue with strong concert identity and an established cultural position in Milan's professional musical life. Teatro Dal Verme hosts a major concert series with the I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra, a key stepping stone for rising conductors before making the great leap to La Scala.
Your Symphonic Programme
Prepared in close consultation with the artistic and production team, your programme is designed to present you as an independent artist of substance.
Major Romantic, late-Romantic, 20th-century, or contemporary repertoire
Italian repertoire or works suited to your artistic profile
Substantial enough to demonstrate genuine artistic authority
Professional Orchestra
Full Orchestral Forces
Strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, harp, piano, and celesta — selected according to your repertoire and orchestral requirements.
Authentic Working Environment
A stable, well-established orchestra with its own concert season and international activity, genuinely engaged in the project and ready to support it.
Professional Soloists
Where the repertoire requires it, internationally acclaimed soloists are engaged as part of the complete production. You are welcome to propose your favourite soloist to be hired for the concerts.
Who Is This For?
Emerging Professional Conductors
With a serious musical foundation and previous professional orchestral experience.
Outstanding Conservatoire & University Graduates
From leading institutions, developing international careers with clear artistic identity.
Conductors Seeking Italian Presence
Ready to establish themselves in Italy and the broader international professional market.
Not for beginners. Applicants must be prepared to rehearse and perform effectively with professional orchestras from day one and must have significant experience.
A Very Selective Process
Participation is by invitation only — every candidate is evaluated with the utmost rigour, care, and artistic discernment.
Rigorous Artistic Evaluation
Each candidate is assessed with the highest level of attention — artistic identity, professional experience, and orchestral command are all scrutinised in depth before any invitation is extended.
Only the Most Qualified Are Invited
This is not an open application process. The selection is deliberately demanding — only conductors of the highest calibre, who demonstrate genuine professional readiness, are chosen to participate.
Undivided Artistic Focus
Those selected receive the full, sustained attention of the artistic and production team throughout the entire project — a level of individual focus that is rarely possible in conventional programmes.
Artistic Selection Process
Applications are evaluated across four core dimensions of professional readiness.
01
Conducting Technique
Clarity, control, gesture, preparation, and rehearsal efficiency with professional ensembles.
02
Musicality
Interpretation, listening, stylistic awareness, and musical communication across repertoire.
03
Artistic Personality
Presence, individuality, communication, and a clearly defined artistic identity.
04
Professional Potential
Evidence of genuine readiness for an international professional conducting career.
The Professional Production Fee
The fee reflects the full coordination of a multi-component international artistic project:
Professional orchestra and full rehearsals
Three major Italian venues and concert production
Professional photography and video documentation
Press outreach and industry guest coordination
Complete project management across all three cities
This project requires the conductor's active collaboration and co-investment — a commitment that can take many forms:
Conductors routinely secure production costs through:
Cultural foundations and arts grants
Institutional or conservatory support
Private patrons and philanthropic donors
Corporate sponsorship and co-production partnerships
Regional or municipal arts funding
Presenting a well-structured, professional project makes funding conversations significantly more credible. The project takes place through the following steps: remote evaluation of the materials, an in-person meeting between the staff and the candidate to assess the soundness of the project, which nevertheless involves significant costs for the candidate and must represent an important milestone in their career.
